Quick Tips

If you find a book in the Catalog that you'd like to borrow, make a note of the call number and the floor where the book is located, and browse around the area for other resources on the same subject.

 
 

Library of Congress Headings

Call numbers tell you where a book is shelved. In Drexel Library we use the Library of Congress Classification scheme which groups titles by subject matter.

Classic Catalog -- Searching for a Particular Title/Author

Books Classic Catalog Search   
  • The Classic Catalog is best used when searching for a specific title or author. 
  • You can search across additional fields such as ISBN or Call Number etc.
  • You can also search for specific "subjects" as defined by the Library of Congress
  • You can restrict your search to a particular collection e.g. Campbell Library or Drexel Popular Reading.
  • Use this catalog if you need to capture a permanent link to the record for a resource.

 

Search the Classic Catalog for books on Political Science.  When you find a book of interest, be sure to follow the links listed under "Subject" to locate addditional books on your subject.  Or go ahead and search by "Subject" for these very specific terms as defined by the Library of Congress:
