Important...
We have one Catalog at SJU---but we have two interfaces for searching it:
When you locate a resource in the catalog:
- Click the title to go to the full record. Make a note of the call number and the floor where the book is located.
- Once you locate the book in the Library, browse around that area for other resources on the same subject.
When a book is not available:
- If we do not own the book you need, request it from Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
- If we own the book, but it is currently on loan to another patron, request it from E-ZBorrow.
Classic Catalog -- Looking for a Specific Title or Author
Discovery Catalog -- Searching for a Topic
The Discovery Catalog is best used when searching for a topic by keyword.
- If you are searching for a phrase, put the words in quotes (i.e., "capital punishment").
- Use the navigation panel on the right to refine your search by publication type, author, date, etc.
- Use the word cloud on the left to broaden your search.
