Quick Tips
If you find a book in the Catalog that you'd like to borrow, make a note of the call number and the floor where the book is located, and browse around the area for other resources on the same subject.
Reference books
Books on general information, like dictionaries and encyclopedias, can be found in the Reference section, located on the first floor of the library.
Finding Books in the Library
The Catalog will search our print resources. Search by keyword, and make sure if you're searching for a phrase to put the words in quotes (ie, "capital punishment"). Make a note of the call number and the floor where the book is located, and browse around the area for other resources on the same subject.
The
Classic Catalog searches the same collection as the Discovery Catalog,
just with a few more options for searching. Here, you can search for a
specific title or author, for instace.
Credo Reference
An
online collection of Reference books that offer sometimes very brief,
sometimes detailed information on subjects crossing academic
disciplines. Both subject-specific and general resources are included.
