What is agribusiness?
The Macmillan Encyclopedia defines agribusiness as "the businesses associated with supplying farmers and the processing and distribution of their products. In many countries agribusiness is the largest employer of labour in the economy. On the supply side it includes suppliers of agricultural equipment, fertilizers, pest controls, and other chemicals; stock breeders; seed suppliers; and finance houses and banks. On the sales side it includes food processors; merchants; feedstuff suppliers; and the distributors and retailers of these products."
